The Challenge
Compliance analysts needed to connect regulatory notices with assigned reviews, supporting documents, and recorded decisions.
My Contribution
I built React search and review screens, Node.js APIs for review actions, and Django services to normalize incoming documents. I modeled review history in PostgreSQL and variable document metadata in MongoDB.
The Solution
The workspace connected notices, review queues, and approval status. AI-generated summaries and source-linked answers supported research, while reviewers retained responsibility for compliance conclusions.
Engineering Decisions
Human review of conclusions, reusable validated forms and interaction states, modular service refactoring, Jest/pytest checks, product/design collaboration and processing troubleshooting.
What This Enabled
Analysts could track review decisions and their supporting evidence in a shared workspace, with AI drafts available for human review.
