The Challenge
Staff needed to keep incomplete submissions and payment exceptions visible while tracking applications and fee collection.
My Contribution
I delivered TypeScript/React intake and review screens, Node.js services, and PostgreSQL models. I implemented reconciliation checks between payment callbacks and internal records, with access controls and audit history.
The Solution
Applicants submitted information through validated forms. Staff reviewed application status, missing records, and payment exceptions in dedicated queues. Asynchronous events updated processing state, and staff reviewed AI intake suggestions before authoritative records changed.
Engineering Decisions
Staff approval before authoritative record changes, role-based access and audit logs, asynchronous retries and duplicate-event checks; small-team production ownership and recovery notes.
What This Enabled
Incomplete applications and payment exceptions remained visible to reviewers. Transaction checks connected processor callbacks with internal payment records.
