The Challenge
Staff needed to investigate account exceptions using filing records, payment history, and case information. Public-facing forms also needed to handle saved drafts, rejected entries, and unavailable responses.
My Contribution
Across related applications, I built interfaces, APIs, data models, validation routines, and asynchronous processing. I supported testing, secure data handling, database optimization, release coordination, and production investigation.
The Solution
Account and case-review screens connected filing information with worklists and supporting transactions. Separate processing workflows validated imports and reconciled payments. Interface work supported saved forms and clear errors, while backend modernization introduced reusable services alongside legacy paths.
Engineering Decisions
Python file validation, Spark batch jobs, Kafka/events, queues and background imports; payment/reversal/balance reconciliation and duplicate checks; MongoDB imports and Redis caching/sessions; AWS S3/Lambda; Azure Key Vault/Application Insights; Docker/Kubernetes, Jenkins/Azure DevOps, unit/integration/end-to-end tests; session handling, authorization, audits and parameterized queries. Save/resume forms, expired-session handling, cross-browser checks, production investigation and recovery documentation.
What This Enabled
Reviewers could trace account exceptions through connected information and work queues. Public-facing form work supported saved progress and correction flows. These contributions span related applications rather than one system.
Work Areas
- Account & Case Review: Account searches, history, case assignment and evidence drill-downs.
- Filing & Payment Processing: File validation, batch imports, reconciliation and exception checks.
- Interface Engineering: Reusable forms, saved progress, accessible states and cross-browser behavior.
- Backend Modernization: New API and data-access paths introduced alongside established application logic.
